When club-hopping on Avenida Revolucion, most revelers walk, since the discos are all so close. The street is well-lighted, and there are usually young crowds on the move well past midnight. Cabs are always available to take you back to the border. Safety is generally not a problem at night in the main tourist areas, but stay off the side streets. Use the same nighttime precautions you would use in the downtown area of any city with a million-plus population.
There's no one spot that's tops on Avenida Revolucion to drink or dance the night away. Between Second and Eighth streets, music blasts from Tequila Sunrise and People's to Iguanas Ranas and Hard Rock Cafe. The 18 and under nightlife is in San Diego is pretty much a thing of the past. I read on-line that Jolt'N Joe's in Escondido still allows the under 21 crowd in until 11:00 p.m. But, this place is described more as a sports bar and has pool tables and video games to boot.

Tijuana is a fun place and as long as you are 18, you are treated like an adult. But, it is not a place for the inexperienced, you must remember that you are a foreigner and you are a target for the Federales (Mexican police). I would highly suggest that if you venture south that you go with someone that is experienced with going down there and make sure that this person remains sober! It can be very shocking to go there, if, you've never been in to Mexico. It's very dirty, women are treated very differently, and you must be aware of your surroundings at all times (I was pick pocketed a few times and got harrassed quite a few times). But, the watered down drinks are cheap and the dancing is fun! Also, during high border crossing times (namely Christmas and spring break), the US Border Patrol will card you as you go in to Mexico, so, make sure that everyone you're with is of age.

16 and up? I hope u meant 18 and up. Oh well the only one i've heard about is Baja Lobster in Chula Vista. Im sorry but I just usually go down to TJ to party. Its not that dangerous if you do the following. Don't take your car there, leave your car at a parking in the US side, its only 10$ and they really take care of it. Go across the border walking and take a yellow cab (Taxi Libres is alright too but you will have to walk and is really dark). Go to clubs that are located close to the border (what i usually try to do: i.e. Balak [first anniversary this saturday is going to be awesome] Zocalo [newest club awesome place too] Senor Froggs [nice place] or Rodeo Santa Fe [Banda and Norteno music]) Don't get to wasted, most of the clubs in TJ on saturday are open bar, be smart! and take care of yourself. Don't mess up with people inside the clubs, you never know who has a gun and who doesn't etc etc. DON'T go with just girls, at least take a boy (sorry idk if you are guy or girl) Always keep your ID in a safe place. When you are done clubbing, there is going to be taxis in front of the clubs or right next to it, ask the security guys they will know where they are. (Tip: Donde tomo un taxi? Spanish for where i can take a taxi, easy to remember and not hard to pronounce, the guy will most likely show you with their hands where the taxis are so you dont have to understand spanish) Ask them to take you directly to the border. you will have to walk to the border from where the taxi is going to drop you, nice place to breath some air and try to get the alcohol out hehe. I don't recommend eating or buying anything there, especially that late at night, just keep walking till you cross the border. The border patrol will ask you some questions, try to act sober at least or else they will place you in a room for hours till you are sober.
