yes i was a happy kid, and i'm very grateful for it.
i had all i wanted: family, friends, a good education, a roof over my head....
what i remember most was walking everyday to school with my mom.... i loved doing that.... somehow, i felt as if i were most connected to her when i was doing that.
whenever you feel as if you are living under the worst conditions possible, stop and think about the starving kids in africa.
then, think again.
hope this helps!

My mom, dad, two older brothers,& I would go camping out at lake Whitney almost every week end in the summer. We would spend the night out there in our cab-over-camper, make smores, fish, jump off the 20ft cliffs into the lake, play pictionary, cook grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner & bacon in the morning...just a couple of months ago my husband, our little boy, my dad, & I went out there and stayed in a cabin -no more camper :< ( We had a blast...i didn't get to jump off the cliffs this time though because i'm pregnant...I'll be taking my kids to that lake as long as i live...

All I can remember from my childhood is always crying. My childhood was horrific. I had so many deaths in the family that I lost count after my bestfriend...I think it was around 14 deaths. Don't become my friend, everything I touch dies.

I can't remember much before 10 years old.I've been told I blocked it all out. Years I remember were not happy ones and I pray today for no little ones to be hurt or unhappy.

I remember my mother snicking up on my dad with a claw hammer then drawing back to wake him then at the last second he grabbed her hands then biped her then she let out a scream , I'd say that wasn't the happiest of times
