i have been to both places, i suggest u go to boracay first.. and then to palawan.. u can have a lot of choices when u choose palawan, coz there's coron, el nido and puerto princesa, unlike boracay its the only place.
when in coron, u can go to club paradise resort, it's a resort on an island, u have to ride a boat to get there, and the place is really amazing, they have their own house reef wherein u can see green turtles swimming along. u can also have an island tour wherein u can go snorkeling they call it siete picados and also go to the twin lagoons, go to the cleanest lake in the phils. (kayangan lake). its really beautiful coz, the environment is still unspoiled. hope u have a great time ;-)
u can also go to el nido (haven't been there yet, planning to go next yr).

I've been to both Boracay and Palawan because my grandmum's from Palawan and my grand dad was from Aklan. All i can say is that Boracay's nothing compared to Palawan if you're into the nature stuff. Palawan's just amazing, especially if you go to Northern Palawan, specifically Coron. There's this beautiful lake called Kayangan which is the cleanest lake in the Philippines. You can go kayaking there. There's also Makinit hot springs... you can also go scuba diving. It's a perfect location if you want to retreat to a place that's quiet and far from the developed world. However, if you don't want to lose touch of establishments and some of the benefits of city life then Boracay's the place for you.

Boracay and Palawan almost the same in terms of water sports activities. Its a whitesand beach. The difference: In Boracay its a little bit congested because the resorts are beside each other in an island and its less cost. In palawan, its more expensive due to fullboard meals and other inclusions, its a private or exclusive beach & good for honeymooners, the coral reefs are more preserved. for further information or recommendation you may need, pls email me at lindaltan@yahoo.com - im a travel agent in Manila Philippines

Both, Palawan and Boracay are nice places in the Philippines. Another suggestion place that you will like too is Pagudpud in Ilocos, Northern part of the Philippines.

Enjoy!

Everyone would probably answer Boracay but it depends on what you want to do.
For parties,"people-watching'/meeting people/socializing, definitely Boracay. Tons of great restaurants too! My favorite is True Food (authentic Indian food... never liked Indian food until I tried this restaurant!).
For water activities (diving, snorkeling, fishing), definitely Palawan. I went there last year and had one of the best vacations ever! The resort I went to (not as posh as the ones in Bora though since they are mostly dive resorts) planned our itinerary and I had soooo much fun snorkeling, kayaking, etc. Even went to some shallow wrecks that inspired me to learn how to dive. Also swam with a school of baby barracuda (yikes) and had a chance to swim in the cleanest lake in the Philippines (which my friend now dubs as just a clean lake after peeing while in the water... yuck!). E-mail liza@divelink.com.ph for bookings. Ask for Robert to be your tour guide (who also doubled as my group's "personal butler" when we were there... he is such a great person! Would really try and make your stay enjoyable and comfortable!).

I'm from the PI and I would say both are good places for relaxation. Why don't you try visiting both? But if I really had to choose, I would go to Palawan 'coz there are lots of tourists in Bora most of the time. And I'm more of a nature person rather than a people person, so...... =)

I haven't been to either place, but would suggest you try Boracay while it's still there. The government is trying to take take over in a land grab (most of the resorts were built on untitled land now the gov't wants a cut of everything).

which would be tight. I regularly propose human beings to devise on $50 a individual according to day, basically for nutrition, and that's in case you maintain on with the cheap places and don't do something fancy. around the parks, approximately $10 a individual according to meal is with regard to the main inexpensive you're able to do. Assuming you purchase a drink/water and a snack interior the parks, too, it is ordinary to spend $50. in case you circulate purchase cereal/breakfast meals and devour your breakfast at your villa, you could save incredibly some money. We constantly do this as quickly as we circulate, and it is far greater value-effective than going out for breakfast. And in case you convey your lunch, needless to say you will save greater money. basically bear in mind which you will no longer convey something which will smash and you will could lug around in spite of you convey.
