Some kids today feel they have to learn about life the hard way. So, since she obviously knew what your reaction would be like, she's probably prepared for the obvious removal of privileges.

However, she won't be prepared for this one. Tell her it's time she got a job. Adults have to pay for the place they live at, including rent. Tell her if she can't get a full-time job to pay for her share of living expenses, she'll have to return to school. Give her a couple weeks tops to find one. In the meantime, she has to keep up with her schoolwork, so she'll have to work on that after hunting for work during the day. Work it out with her teachers. Most teachers are understanding of this kind of disobedience (since this is not the first time a kid has tried it) and will help you keep your daughter up to date, while she works this out of her system.

If you're really worried she'll fall behind, then require she go to school at least 4 days a week and hunt for work the other 3 days a week and also right after school until dinner time on the 4 school days. Yes, her weekends have to be spent job hunting, too, same with adults that need to find work. Show her it's not easy living like an adult.

Remember parents want what's best for their children, but they also want to see that they're happy. So, on the off chance she succeeds at finding work, support her. She might still return to school one day. Forcing it outright won't work. She has to learn the lesson for herself.

I don't know the law in your state, but I'm fairly sure that she can't legally quit school at 16 without you signing her out. She's still a child for another 2 years and make sure she knows it. Send her butt back to school.

Well, you don't have to give her anything other than basic shelter and food until she is 18.
No School means...
No TV, No Phone, No Allowance, No Car, No Drivers License, No Mall, No Internet, etc etc etc.
It is still your house.

Exactly what Culinary said. You are the parent, make it clear she will go to school as long as she is living in your house and you are supporting her.
