No, they are the Abbott & Costello of hockey. It is great fun to watch but it is done in jest. But on the other hand it would be cool to see them go toe to toe.... I think after all the years of playing second fiddle would inspire MacLean to kick Cherrys butt!!
Truth is they have their little on air feud and then head for the local watering hole for a nice cold Molsons!!!

I never did and still do not. I do have to say Cherry was really giving Ito Maclean over the referee thing. Maclean had to say " I was asked a question and I answered it as such". Meaning he was scapegoating the question. Cherry defiantly busted Maclean further then I have seen tonight at any time.

Ron Maclean is suppose to say some things to get Cherry going you see it happen once in awhile.

It's an act. Are you that naive? Go read the ESPN.com article on the Don. It's all scripted.

I just wish they'd go away as much as I love Bobby Orr, did you see tonight's Coach's Corner. Cherry is so out of touch with the game...get Brett Hull and Jeremy Roenick (retire eh!) on there.

Then again that's the CBC--only 30 years out of date.

No, Ron has a lot of respect for Don. Don does a job and part of it is being abrasive. Pro wrestlers go for a beer together after yelling at each other for three hours so don't fall for everything you see.

No, they are friends. Their little spats are part of the act. Cherry is a total gentleman when off-camera. I enjoy Coaches Corner, but the fact is Cherry developed his TV persona precisely because he wasn't able to cut it as a NHL coach.

No. Ron is such a class act and a perfect foil to Don Cherry (not that Don doesn't have his charms). I enjoy that show and it amuses me that those who knock it still never miss it.

Mabey it looks like if it dose happen it will happen soon. That would be awsome to see them fight on air.
