living near a graveyard?

This is a stupid question.. but living near a graveyard is this a good or a bad thing? Are there evil spirts floating around or something?

I am a paranormal investigator. And while there are a few graveyards with the reputation of being haunted, it is rare. If you were a ghost, wouldn't you find a graveyard a boring place to hang out? My wife and I investigated a very old and large graveyard in our town and came away from it with a feeling of great peace and respect for those that had passed on and were buried there. Nothing scary at all. I'm sure you have nothing to worry about. Rest In Peace!

I know people that lives near graveyard and nothing happen, but one year we moved behind a graveyard and in our house in some nights we can hear like people screaming and throwing and breaking glasses but the next day everything was intact. We last in that house six month. We experienced other funny things that the spirits used to do.

I lived on a small Amish graveyard in pa,it was on my property and I didn't find out until plowing a small 20by20 area I planed to plant a garden in dont even ask how i found out just use your imagination and researched it a while and found that the graveyard was right about where I found the bones.my house was built in 1870 and I cant imagine there were any regulations about grave depth back then anyhow I had no trouble at all any time after that .as far as ghosts or anything unexplained

In my opinion a good thing, I personally love to visit graveyards. I like to have picnics at graveyards and just unwind there. As for ghosts, why would a ghost haunt a graveyard when they can haunt a nice old house or the place they loved in life, or tragically lost their lives at? Don't worry about the graveyard it is a place of rest, and peace.

The dead can't hurt you its the living ones you have to worry about. I used to be terrified of cemeteries but now that I am older,
I realize that they are harmless. Spirits are everywhere good or bad, and just because you live by a graveyard, doesn't mean you are more at risk, of seeing or being spooked. As far as it being good or bad, think of it this way, it will always be very quiet.....

When I was traveling all the time, I used to stay from time to time in a hotel that overlooked a graveyard from the back. I never noticed anything evil about it, but some times late at night the singing would wake me up.

maybe lost but not evil.

modern humans see death and everything associated with is as something evil and scary. it really is simply the natural conclusion to life.

there may be some spirits there that died in horrible ways or were simply nasty people in life. and they may be negative entities. but unless you go into their realm of influence you should not have any problems.

if it really bothers you have a priest of your chosen religion bless your house against evil.

I live near a graveyard, and it has a mass grave of confederate soldiers in it. and my wife is a medium. we almost never have problems with the spirits.

I believe in evil spirits, but not in that realm. If you choose to live near a graveyard, do it. I wouldn't if I had a choice because it just sounds creepy.

It depends on how in-tuned you are spiritually. They might just float in and you might see, them or you might not. If things just start going wrong for no reason-seek help from a spiritualist. In many cases, they will help you. An example might be, if a person was once a hair stylist-if his or her spirit is around, you will always get different ideas on how to beautify your hair. The attention will be overwhelming from the public. If the deceased was rich or wealthy-you will get ideas on wealth and be successful. Again, if things start to go wrong, or you feel afraid and a strange presence-just tell it to go back where they or it came from. Ammonia is good in cases like this, just spray it around. bad spirits hate it.

It is not bad. If you believe in spirits, you know that there are both good and bad. Most cemeteries near me, are nice places to walk on a summers day, and some of the inscriptions on the older stones are interesting.
