The vent that goes on the bottom, the milk leaks right through it. Why is that?? Is there another part that goes to it because I don't have any other parts.

The parts are not on wrong. I want to know if something goes over the bottom part(the holes on the vent) so it will not leak through because if there is I don't have that part.

Before the box is open where will the filter be located because I don't see any filter. Is the filter already inside the bottle? Or where is it before it's in the bottle if it isn't already in there?

I use those bottles and I love them. The only parts are the bottle itself, the plastic base, a small plastic filter that goes into the base, and the nipple and the part that holds the nipple in. Is the filter in correctly? If it's in a little crooked or something, it might leak. If everything seems right, maybe you just have a dud bottle.
The filter is a flat, circular, rubber piece that fits into the base. On this page, the 5th picture down shows it if you look closely. (On the "gift set" box) It's on the right half of the box--the little circular thing on the bottom.

Yeah, when I was using those bottles that was usually the reason they were leaking. Just unscrew the bottom and replace that piece. I always had to make extra sure that piece was in place because if not, they would leak badly.

I'm not positive, but I think the bottles come assembled with the rubber round filter already in place. If it wasn't there, maybe you got a defective package.

you are supposed to have a little plastic "vent" that goes in the bottom of the bottle. if you dont have it positioned right, it will leak.

I hate these bottles. they were a pain and I had the same problem, when I did have the bottles the little filter was a pain you had to have it on perfectly.

You probably have a defective one. I'd call the manufacturer and get your money back. I used VentAires exclusively with my daughter and never had problems with leakage.

No, really, if there's nothing keeping the milk in, you are missing a part, or you didn't assemble it right. Take it back, or fix it.

I believe those are the ones you have to be sure to not OVER tighten and only use their nipples/tops to them.
