Am I the only one who refuses to let the N word affect me?

Something can only hurt you if you let it. People have been talking about who's got the right to say that or not, some have been upset, some have been outraged.... Why should I care if someone else's heart is filled with bigotry? That's their problem isn't it?
I admit that it gets to you after awhile but really, they can knock themselves out with it. I sincerely believe that indifference make people go away, anger just fuels them even more.

It's wrong.. and it'd be a great day when people stop using it, but I refuse to make it demean me and make me think less of myself.
The trolls in this section of Y! only do it because they know how most people are going to react. Our words/replies fall on deaf ears, anyway, they aren't going to change that easily.
If everyone ignored them, they'd only have their clones backing them up.. and eventually, they'd fade away.

You need to read about the history of the Civil Rights movement in the US and understand what the N word really means. If people's hearts are filled with bigotry, it's EVERYBODY'S problem. Go read.
