He simply has to ask another Mason how to become a Mason. They do not recruit members. Each member must join of his own free will. So he will need to contact a lodge if he does not know a Mason who can sponsor him.

Like any club or organization it is always a good idea to know a good standing member. Spend some time with the good standing member- long enough to make sure the group is right for the man and his family as family is first- always.

The remote possibility there is not a Mason "club house" around your area- find an Elk- a Moose or a Lion they all seem to know one another.

Look up the Elks Memorial in Chicago, Illinois the offices there should be able to direct him, or the National Order of Shriners. The Masonic Temple, Shriners Circus, or the St Jude Hospital also has chapters of the Easten Star, (women) Masons(men).

He must be sponsored....there is NO other way than that. I am a mason by accord and name and was brought into it from birth, but an adult male must be sponsored by another adult male. The best way is to own your own business because it will allow for him to hob-nob with others eventually meeting someone that may sponsor him. good luck, jack mason
