Landlord, I changed the fuse in my fuse box, I tried wiggling the fuse, I did not hear any frying noise. Should I still have a concern, on why this happened?

Chances are, you had a loose fuse. The sizzle you heard was an electric arc. The back of the fuse was barely touching the contact in the fuse box and the electricity was jumping. The effect is similar to a welder, the arc creates heat which would eventually burn up your fuse box. before you go to bed take out the fuse and see if it is hot to the touch. If it is leave it out and call an electrician in the morning. If it is not hot, the arc is gone and you will most likely not have any further problems.

I am not your landlord, but I wish I was! I can't get my renters to change a light bulb.! If it blows the fuse again, start to worry.

a renter should never touch anything he doesnt own..since if he breaks it he will then have to pay to fix it..
