to me these seem the worst years of your life, if you´ve got kids, they´re probably teenagers and they say thatis the hardest time, you´re loosing your looks and maybe you´re even having your first health problems....being over 60 seems better to me...more free time, less obligations and maybe grandchildren...

It can be a difficult time, but there are pluses and minuses at every age. Usually between 40-60 you are at the peak of your career. You've achieved a certain degree wisdom - you start to realize those years of experience actually count for something. You stop caring so much about what other people think. You are able to gain some perspective on life. It can be a great age!

Well we are 55 and have only one teenager left at home so we are over the humps of all the teenage years for the most part. We have worked hard and saved and now we are semi-retired and we work because we like to and not because we have to. We have had plenty of wonderful memories with our children and our adult children are self sufficient. We enjoy life, are healthy enough to still be active even with the little aches and pains of aging bodies. Our lives are pretty stress free and we enjoy our marriage immensely. These are the golden years right now!

from 40-59 you will be finishing up your career and living the same life as you did when you were 32. When you hit 60 you can retire and settle down in flordia :]

During this period (which I am in) my kids have told me that they now understand why I raised them in the manner and with the values that I have. My oldest is in Korea. pray for him.
