i want to know what the types of writings are. i know comedy, sci-fi, and horror. plus romance.what else is there.

Those aren't types; they're genres. THESE are the types of writings:
cause/effect essay
comparision/contrast essay
definition essay
description essay
narration essay
persuasive essay
process analysis essay
The big four are description, narration, persuasive/argumentative, and expository.
