Sperm are made in the testes. Girls are born with all the eggs they are going to have.

Yep, Fizzle said it best. Testes and Ovaries. Males keep producing sperm, but females are born with a certain amount of eggs (ovum).

Sperm are made in the testes and stored in a tube called the epididymis. Ovum are in the ovaries, and they aren't made. What's there is there.

No. they are no longer somatic (physique) cells, yet germline cells. Germline cells are cells, in sexually reproducing organisms, which be able to have their DNA handed directly to offspring. Germline cells are no longer somatic (physique) cells; no longer even those germline cells that are diploid. Diploid germline cells submit to any style of mitotic divisions, till they grow to be a well-recognized oocyte or a well-recognized spermatocyte - then they submit to their final branch, this is meiotic, and produces haploid gametes (an ovum and 3 polar bodies, or 4 spermatids). At no factor are any of those cells seen somatic cells. usually heard statements which comprise, "In sexually reproducing diploid organisms there are 2 sorts of cells; somatic (physique) cells, that are diploid, and gametes, that are haploid" are overly simplistic (and technically, incorrect). plenty extra precise may be to assert, "In sexually reproducing diploid organisms there are 2 sorts of cells; somatic (physique) cells, the ordinary public of that are diploid, and germlines cells, which will nicely be the two haploid gametes or their diploid precursor cells."
