I am a probationer teacher in Scotland and would like to know if we get paid December's wage mid December, rather than at the end of the month as usual. I am aware that this happens in other organisations and businesses.

some local authorities do pay early, usually the last week of term rather than the last working day, probably best to check your local council's website, or just ask the school secretary, she's bound to know!

depends on authority, usually last week before xmas if they do, if not end of the month as usual

Nice try, but i don't think so, put it this way, if you were paying out, would you pay early?.
