From some time now I prefer to do exactly nothing, With so many people around you planning how to spend your birthday, I think the best is to spend at least a few hours on your own doing absolutely nothing.
I mean really enjoy yourself and discover who you are and get to love it.

Good luck

No. Its your Birthday and you get to choose what you do. if you don't want to do any thing that's not a problem. If anyone does have a problem then that's their problem. But i would allow them to take you some where if they think its that important. Oh, by the way Happy Birthday! lol that rhymes! ;-) turn your head left sideways. I hope u have a good time on your birthday. Maybe they r gonna plan a suprise party!!

My 51st is next week, as well, and I'm with you -- though I'm dismayed that you seem so jaded at such a young age. If you're like me, it's the idea of forced festivity that I find off-putting. Like you, I celebrate the lives of my loved-ones daily, and not just on their birthdays.
But you said you enjoy celebrating your friends, so why deprive them the joy of celebrating your life, as well? It gives them pleasure, right? Don't deny them that. And, hey! Who knows? You might find some fun in it for yourself.
Happy birthday, doll!

Don't make a big fuss over your birthday.Just tell your parents why you don't want to do anything for your birthday or you can make a little cake and celebrate your b-day,it's that simple. Then you can go with your friends and hang-out.=)

Tell them that you just do not want to make a huge fuss over it...it is your birthday after all and you should have the last say so.

It is your birthday, not theirs. That day is about you, and you should do, or not do whatever you want. Your family just has to respect your wishes in this matter. Talk it over with them, eventually they should understand.

It's your day. Do whatever you want...even if that means doing nothing at all. Happy Birthday.
