NO. The only other transmission that would even bolt up other than the H23 tranny is the F-series tranny from an accord. Either way, both trannys are for FWD only.

Edit: And yes Honda did make an AWD transmission in a small passenger car, but that was for a late 80's early 90's civic wagon.

Honda had 4WS from 88-91 which was totally mechanical, one of my preludes has it.

The 4ws found on 4th gen lude (92-96), was electrically controlled. Which was garbage and was ended in 95' and nowhere near as effective as its predecessor. Just get yourself a quaife LSD for your 4th gen. Pricey but worth it.

If your looking for an H22 engine that will bolt the AWD transmission with little as possible wrench time, my answer would be no.

Honda Prelude did have All-wheel steering. And an H22 AWD Transmission? Seems irrational, yet expendable I suppose....

I am aware of the B20 and the K24 bolted into the CRV had AWD, and someone already voyed into that domain coming up with alot of problems along the way. Placing time and money into the parts, getting it inside his EK and having it funtional with ample amount of power only became a continuous headache (so i hear). Parts were built for city driving, and not the shock of a powerful AWD launch as halfshafts were turned to quartershafts after a few trial runs.

Honda performs its part well in driving among the city with fluid change. Power mixed with them is only done in the S2000, and the NSX. Anything else, they leave it to the aftermarket. Notable, the AWD? Is this for power? Or do you really want an AWD prelude to plond around in the snow or something? And your specific year of vehicle, Im sure it wouldn't matter. A k20 in the new 01' RSX can be straped into a 92 CRX within four hours.

Wow guys do some research before lying to this person. The Honda shuttle or ra1(ak 1st gen odyssey had a f series awd Tranny) Also accord wagons also came with awd f series. Unfortunately these variations were only sold in Europe and Japan. There's a shop in Cali with and obd2 awd F but I can't remember the name. There's also a odyssey bone yard in new Zealand. Contact them if you don't mind shipping, they have plenty
