Well, from what I've seen and heard, the Xbox 360's graphics and gameplay don't sound that much better than the original Xbox. There doesn't seem to be a huge improvement between the Xbox and 360, so it doesn't seem worth an extra $400.
The Wii seems like a better investment, because there will be a ton of games available from the beginning, and it should be fun to experiment with the different ways to use the unique controller. Plus, it's cheap, so you have more money to buy games.
But that really depends on your taste in games. If you like hardcore action games with epic plots, like Halo or God of War, then buy the 360, because there probably won't be many hardcore games for the Wii, if any. If you like more 'G' rated family games, such as Super Mario and the Zelda games, that lack bloodshed or angst, buy the Wii. Although Nintendo seems to be bringing out a few more 'darker' games, such as the newest Zelda: Twilight Princess.

I have no idea, but I think I've answered this question a hundred times now.
The 360 is what you should get if what you REALLY wanted was a PS3 but couldn't afford/find one. They have much, much more in common than either have in common with the Wii. If you like shooters and strong multiplayer compatability, the 360 is absolutly the best choice.
The Wii's graphics are deffinetly not that great but it has some really cool features and connects to your wireless router via a Wi Fi connection. There will be a browser called Opera released early next year that will allow you to surf the internet from your couch with a remote and I've heard other people say there will be online multiplayer, but I wouldn't count on that aspect being better than XBox Live. The Wii is pretty cool, but a vast departure from what the 360 and PS3 are doing and a lot of the games for those systems simply will not be on the Wii.
The Wii's controls are not the arobic workout everyone seems to be making them out to be and infact work better with small quick motions than big hard ones. I whooped my friend at Tennis because I understood this. Zelda can be played easily from your couch.
Anyone so lethargic they can't muster the energy to flick their wrist should spit the twinkie out and talk to their doctor.

if you want graphics go for the xbox 360...but if you want something NEW, CHEAP, loaded with an interactive gameplay feature go with the wii.
you save money...which means you can get more games with the wii.
plus, my favorite series in the world is on the nintendo consoles...SUPER SMASH BROTHERS...and brawl is going to be on it:)
but of course the 360 has halo...but you dont need that since there are good shooting games on the wii too. goodluck.
