Its not unsafe, it is just at the last trimester would be very difficult as many women retain extra fluid if standing for long periods of time so they get swollen feet and it can become painful. Another thing to take into account is getting light headed as the blood pressure may raise or drop. Consult your doctor for better knowledge.

Not normally, unless a doctor has given orders not to because of certain conditions. Like an incompetent cervix (where the cervix isn't strong enough to hold the baby in) or any other conditions where the pregnancy would be compromised.
But if all is well, it would just be extremely tiring. Standing for too long is just as bad as sitting for too long.

According to the American Medical Association, a woman shouldn't spend any more than 4 continuous hours of standing after 28 weeks of pregnancy.

Nope .. its not bad for you... I work the front desk at a hotel with no chair I have to stand there with a smile one my face for 8 long miserable hours.. every single day!!! and im pregnant

No. Many women work at jobs that they stand for 8 hours or more. You just need to make sure you feel ok, because every one and every pregnancy is different.

Well according to my doctor you should not stand for more than four hours at a time when you are past 24 weeks.

Not unless your doctor has put you on bed rest. Although you might feel crummy after standing a long time it's not dangerous.

yes,standing for long periods icreases the rate of miscarriage in women of all ages.get another job or a written note from dr if any woman u know is standing a lot during pregnancy,if the job wont let her sit.(cashier,etc.)

im pregnant and I had to quite my job because it was putting to much stress on my child. when you get cramps that feel like somebodies dancing on your pelvic then yeah it is unsafe.

no, its not unsafe as long as u arent having any pregnancy related problems..the standing will prob cause backache and body aches but thats it,,.
