Why do so many people think that they must shop there to fit in?

i think that to many people think that they need to shop there just to fit in. my opinion is that you should choose where to shop, or not to shop based on the clothing, not the brand name. i like american eagal's clothing, so i shop there(plus there are really good sales). i also think that you shouldn't make the decission to, say shop at abercrombie because of its adds, or somthing unrelated to the merchendise.

I don't shop there. I mean, what's the biggy? It's expensive and their clothes aren't like the BEST. Some cheaper ones look better. Because people go to famous stores with a lot of big merchandise and cool brand names like Abercrombie. But I think that doesn't make you cool or popular. What the heck is with the reindeer? You don't need to shop there to fit in. They just want to spend big bucks to show they're either cool and try to be rich maybe.

I don't think they think they have to shop there to fit in, if they do they are just stupid. I work at hollister and I see all sorts of people come in to shop there. Its not so much that they want to fit in. I believe its that they just really like the way the clothes look. Our vintage styles are just very appealing to the eye.

I really don't think people have to shop there to fit in. True, some people do feel thats one way to fit in. But other people do really like their clothes. Take me for example, I take pride in self-apperance. I like to shop at the stores you listed above. However, I would never shop there just to be like everyone else. I shop there because I like the clothes those stores sell.

well i shop there not just to fit in but i shop there because i love the way it fits me and i just love the style it looks great. its my thing i could care less if someone else wears it or not. but its the the "it" items pretty much that is why. they are the trend setters.

Don't worry about those clothes brands because a lot of preppy people wear those clothes. It doesn't matter what name brand clothes you wear as long as you know you look cute!

i don't know about fitting in, but the clothes are comfortable, and of a good quality, i think it is just for comfort not so much for fitting in.

get ur facts right....some people dont shop there to fit in...maybe the people like the clothes there

It what teenagers are wearing, and all kids want to be in style. The same with kids wearing their pants down under their butts. I will have to say that style is ridicules. I have a grand son and every time I see him I will say PULL UP YOUR PANTS!

Because some people want to look rich. I don't know why people want brands. Often times they last just as long as no-name-brands. It's not hard to find something cute that looks good without breaking the bank. I'll buy designer on sale...never regular price...you just have to know how to wear it.
other than that.. I stick to my local stores.
