My best friend and I have this conversation quite often. It doesn't make much sense to me either. Cigarettes cause emphysema, bronchitis, lung cancer, etc. As far as alcohol goes, how many people have killed others while driving drunk? Not to mention alcohol poisoning, liver damage, stomach problems, etc. Yet, weed, the most harmful of the three is the only one illegal. Someone should explain that to me......

It may not seem like its not harming you now.. but it messes up everything else along with your health, cant get a decent job because they drug screen test you... so your stuck pushing carts for walmart. you waste your money buying that shtuff.. it usually leads to other drugs more serious cause you like the high you have with marijuana and want to try something that'll probably give you a better high.. and then get addicted to that junk.
that's all my theory though.

I was riding with a friend once . He came to a stop sign and came to a stop. He stayed there for a considerable amount of time. After several minutes I asked why he was stopped. He rep-plied Aim waiting for it to turn green. I know he had smoked just before we boarded his car and after that incident I realized how dangerous it was to ride in a car driven by someone under that influence.....KECK

marijuana is still illegal--still called dope and for a reason.
was once legal....
people don't see the harm in it...that really should sound an alarm...
people can't see danger of smoking or alcohol either. sad...
you may not be bothered by drugs now....
continue on...............majority will soon need a stronger high
and that means far more money and far more violence...
society is safer with marijuana controlled as illegal....
hopefully... it will remain.

I agree with you. The only reason the USA doesn't legalize it is because it isn't grown easily here (outside at least!) and can't be as highly taxed as alcohol or cigs. I say legalize it anyway.

It will always be illegal because of the law enforcement it takes to control it outweighs what the will make in taxation in making it legal.

I don't care if people get drunk or get baked. My problem is that if they smoke around me, I can get a hit off of the second hand smoke. I can't get wasted off of someone else if they get drunk next to me so it doesn't concern me, but someone smoking pot around me basically forces a drug into my system, a drug I never consented to take.
