I used to be best friends with this one girl. Then we got in a huge fight then didnt talk for a year. Out of no where she calls me up and apoligizes. We are trying to be friends again but I don't know what to say to her. We were best friends since I was 8 and now I'm 18. She doesn't seem to have a problem but the relationship isn't like before. Should I just leave it alone? Or work harder at it? Is it worth it?

True friends are hard to find. My best friend and I got into a fight too and didn't talk for a year. Although, we am much older then you and your friend, we have been friends since we were 16. We both put it behind us, talked about it briefly when we started talking again and then dropped it. Consider yourself lucky to have her back in your life. Sometimes pride and ego destroy good friendships. It might be uncomfortable for a little while. But catch up on what happened while you weren't speaking and take it from there.
The issue between my friend and I was HUGE and we got over it. I really missed her when she wasn't around. I hate not having her to talk to and no one else gets me like she does.

It won't be like before because you both have changed a lot. That doesn't mean you too can't still be friends. There are a lot of other things you can talk about. You both must get over the past if you want the friendship to work.10 year of being friends?I'd say it is worth it.

Well act like nothing happened. Tell her that you really missed being friends and want to stay friends and forget about the fight. its better to be friends than hold a grudge and stop being friends with her just because time had flown by. if i were you, i would be friends with her again, and do the same things like before and be the best of friends. even though she apologized you should to, even if it wasnt your fault. Talk about how it felt like not to be with each other, and talk about how you didnt want things to end that way. I would be friends with her again if she was close to me.

Yes it is worth it because a friend that long is a good friend but a good trick is to say you made the mistake and say sorry it always works cheesy but it works

The more you talk, the easier it will get. You may still end up having a great relationship. stick with it!

The two of you have a long history together, give it time things will smooth over.
Good Luck.
