Howie. Beasly reminds me of a dog.

Howie. Beasly sounds like "beastly." Plus, wasn't there some grandmotherly TV character in the 60s called Miss Beasly, complete with a Barbie doll named after her?

Assuming you have a reason for choosing those names, I'd go with Beasly. Howie sounds more like a nickname. However, the choice is yours. Whatever you name him, make sure that's the "first" name. So many things today are searched for that way, not by a middle initial.

None. Beasly sounds like a dogs name and howie sounds like a 60 year old man

Either one is gonna cause the kid trouble. "Howard" can be respectable if the kid turns out to have a confident personality, but "Beasly?" Think about a lifetime of being called "Beasly" (Beastly, measly, sneezly, weasly... - or worse, "Beasly! Answer the door!) If it must be one of those two, Howard's better. "Howie" is a comedian with a bald head who isn't really that funny.

well... I would say neither. Howie is the name of a backstreet boy and no boy would wanna share his name with that and Beasly just sounds stupid...it just doesn't sound like a name. My fiance says "my heart goes out to the kid whichever name he gets." Good luck kid in surviving in this cruel world with such a feminine and strange name.

neither really, I think that howie is too old sounding and the kids in school will change Beasly to Beastly

Neither. He'll be teased so bad at school. If there is a sentimental reason behind the names maybe use one as a middle name.
Why not Brody or Bailey instead of beasly?

Definitely not Beasly! Howie is ok, but not all that great. Sorry!
