NO! listening to sad songs when you're already sad just makes things worse. try listening to something upbeat and happy. you'll feel a lot better. Bowling For Soup has some pretty funny upbeat songs on their A Hangover You Don't Deserve CD.
hope you feel better soon.

When I was single and the latest guy broke my heart I would always listen to Chicago just to get it all out right there. I even got one my friend's doing it too. When she was sad about a guy she would say it's time for Chicago. So I guess yes it helped me.

yes to some and no to others. some people like to laugh at sad songs when they are down because thers someone out there who has a bigger problem than them. on the other hand, some find it sad that others have problems.

Personally, I think that it may or may not help, depending on how you are. If you are sad, listening to sad songs may help release your pain, but it may even make you feel worse.

Heck, no! It makes me feel worse to listen to sad songs! If I'm sad, I'll watch a fun movie or go out!

Yes, they do for me. I become sadder, and being very sad is the only way I can become better.
