I've heard a lot of mixed reviews on permenant birth control procedures. One of the more worrisome things are a change in hormones, like early menopause. Things like loss of sex drive, excess hair growth and so on? Has anyone had Essure done? Have you experienced any of these changes? How did the whole thing go for you?

Thank you so much!

I wanted the procedure and my Dr talked me into an IUD instead. It really isn't much different then having your tubes tied. It shouldn't change your hormones at all.

PS........Love my Merina IUD no more PMS or heavy painful periods!
