I would say very soon. If nothing happens before Monday, I would call your doctor and let him know whats been going on. I did that for my son and by the time I called the dr., I was dialated to 6cm. and still was not in active labor. They had to induce me. I had him in 1 hour. It was great!! Good Luck and congratulations!!!!!

Well you lost your plug really early, it regenerates so you might lose it again.
I'm 1 cm and 50% effaced at 36 weeks but I was told that really doesn't mean anything. Some women are clamped shut until labor starts.
TMI but I'd think the large bowel movement on the 24th was from all the thanksgiving food you ate.
I don't think your in labor right now for sure but who knows how soon it will happen.

I had similar experiences during my last few weeks of pregnancy. I went in for a check up (I think it was 39 weeks) and told the doctor about the things I had been experiencing. When he checked me, a ton of mucus and blood came out and I was dialated to 2! He said "Well...this tells me that we are going to have a baby either tonight or tomorrow." Sure enough, that night I couldn't sleep because my back hurt. Later, I found that was back labor pains. I got up to pee and when I moved I thought I peed my pants, but no....that was my water breaking. From there, I woke up the hubby and we went to the hospital....the rest went like it was supposed to. Good luck to you! Remember, you can do it! Women are tough.

I think you're really close. Just be open minded. Don't feel like youre less than a woman if you use a pain med. Let your body tell you what to do and trust your OB and the nurses there with you. Remember people did this long before us without doctors or meds. I know a lady who gave birth in a stable because none of the innkeepers would let her in. ;-)

well what can i say babys definitely on its way, you need to speak to your midwife though as every labour is different, until i read your q i was always on the understanding that the baby was born 5 to 7 days after the plug, though looking at your symptoms i would say now that i was completely mislead and what you are experiencing is completely natural, i would definitely speak to the midwife thouh as she will be the only person who can put your mind truly at rest

I think your cervix is thinning out and preparing your body for child labor. Which sounds like you should have the baby soon!!
