Leaving aside, for a moment, the Fantasyland Hotel in the West Edmonton Mall, what are the names of some good hotels within easy walking distance of the famous Alberta mall?

Here's a site to help you find a hotel or B&B near the mall. The mall is great BTW. Bring a good pair of walking shoes though, it's huge! I suggest Red's Place if looking for a good restaurant in the mall.

There are a few decent hotels within easy walking distance in the summer but way too far in the minus 20's and 30's. Winter can be brutal in Edmonton. Lived there from 1976-1993. Is not uncommon for snow to hit early October and stay until April. If you are going to the Mall, get a room there. Tourism/Alberta will have a web-site with other choices you may have but please be prepared for the cold.
