I dropped a bottle of red polish on our white carpet. I blotted it first until most of it was up. I could not get it out for four months until I came across Sol-u-Mel. It is sold at Melaleuca. They guaranteed the product and sure enough it sat for 15 minutes on the red polish and we no longer have the stain.

Do not use nail polish remover it will work the stain into the deep fibers of the carpet and take off the finish on your dresser. As for the wall use kilz and paint over it. If you do not Have the same color you can try a Mr. Clean magic eraser.
