Barry. Jamie is effeminate. Barry is kind of odd as well. Call him Bartholomew, shorten it to Bart, or Barty and eventually Barry. But be aware people may call him ChuckleBarry from time to time. hahaha.

In my opinion, I would definitely go with Jamie. To me Barry seems to be a bit outdated and could be a source of taunting as the child grows older

Probably Barry, but maybe you want to change it a little to Burly, which is Barry in Welsh.
