I'm thinking about switching to Soprano Sax because I'm going to do a solo and I don't know if the Soprano Sax has the same fingering as the Alto Sax because I already play the Alto. Thanks!

hi, I play the Soprano Sax, and that i used to play the Clarinet. yet actually, i does not do the Clarinet, because of the fact Saxophones sound greater advantageous, and you do not pay attention of nicely-prevalent Clarinetists. I choose the Soprano, yet my brother performs the Alto Sax. It relies upon.Soprano is greater solid, yet makes a greater robust noise. i don't understand lots on the subject of the Tenor, yet i understand that the Alto is the curvy one and makes a deeper noise. The Soprano I play is right now, yet bypass on youtube, seek up Kenny.G or Dave Koz and choose what you pick to do.

Yes, all saxophones have the same fingering until you get to the altissimo fingerings. Just remember that switching to that instrument also requires transposition. If the solo is written for the alto saxophone, it will sound a fifth higher than the alto, which will sound awful if not transposed.

no soprano and alto are different. I played clarinet and switched to soprano clarinet and it was in a totally different key all together
