I think I screwed up...?

Question

I am trying to concieve a boy. (I have 2 girls now.) Everything points to having sex on day 14 or so, plus a bunch of other stuff. However, in the heat of the moment we unded up together on day 12 (last night.) I REALLY do not want another girl, although I don't mind, just worked so hard at researching for a boy.
What are your thoughts? Do you think it is possible that we just did it too soon and I can still dream of a boy? Or did I mess up big time?

Edited to add that we will be thankfull EITHER way as mentioned above. But you can always increase your chances of the sex.

All that stuff about having sex before you ovulate if you want a girl, or during ovulation if you want a boy, are just statistical possibilities. It's slightly MORE likely to conceive a boy during ovulation, and it's slightly more likely to conceive a girl before. But either is possible at any time.

The belief that you can consciously try for either sex is a theory - there is no proof that any particular position or timing will result in a specific gender. It is genetics that determines the gender of an infant - he or she who has the strongest genes between you and your spouse will "win". Take the couple that has had 5 boys, despite their best efforts at having a girl - he has far stronger genes than she does. Couple who end up with a boy and a girl have equal genes, and those with all girls...she has the stronger genes.

well good luck my uncle and his wife had 8 girls before finally getting a son then there was a big hoo haa about it couldnt possibly have bin his (his idea) because he could only throw out girls (his own words) it caused a divorce eventually and gave him the excuse he needed to carry on with someone else, thing is a lot of people agreed with him saying that if he could throw boys he would have had one before thing is these same people seem to have forgotten the fact that after his third daughter was born hed got the teenage babysitter pregnant with twin boys and that was dna proven, he also tried to stop them being put into care but his wife wasnt willing to take them on, so i dont know how this answers ur question, buty if you really dont want another girl then i would suggest protect yourself from pregnancy altogether because there will always be a 50/50 chance

unfortunately things other then timing could cause you to have all girls. The man's sperm determines the sex but he could carry more of one sex then another. The woman's PH levels in her vagina can also cause the sex to be determined since some sperm live better depending on PH levels.

I think that a child is a blessing and you shouldn't be upset to have one sex or the other.

3 girls are not so bad that is what I have. And like you I keep wishing for a boy but you take what you get and if hubby has anything to say about it just remind him it is all his fault lol good luck

this may sound wierd but if you are a praying person one of the best things is to pray for a boy god does maricles and i hope you get the little boy you want.

Your husbands genetics will decide on the gender. So all this old wives tales are waiting your time.

Perhaps you should stop trying for a boy and adopt one.
If you "REALLY" do not want a girl then stop taking the risk.
