I've lived in a number of places and travelled the world extensively and I am now living in Miami. I will say it depends largely on what part of Miami you are in. The traffic is bad and the people a can be superficial at times. It basically has the same short comings as any large international city. But it has a vibrant unique culture, world class night life (just stay away from the touristy places), great weather and beaches. If you like big cities and are open to different cultures you'll enjoy it here.

Until the Cuban and the Latin population show up, Miami was a sleeping town. however, Miami is still a boring place with a 19 century mind. Miami is not a city to walk around like New York, San Francisco, Barcelona, Madrid, Buenos Aires, London, Paris. Of course you can hang around the area of Miami Beach (with is a city itself) or Coconut Grove an will have a nice time, but after all, Miami is made to live and wait for the Social Security. Absolutely not a uplifting city for creative minds.

I live in Miami, along with my four children, and I hardly think I am risking my life by living here. People who haven't been here shouldn't be answering the questions. Miami has the most beautiful beaches the East coast has to offer. There are tons of things to do here, from clubs and restaurants, to places like Bayside marketplace on the water, Coral Castle, Vizcaya Gardens, and the Venetian Pools. It's great for couples, or big families with small children. There is great shopping here too. And like any big city, there are areas that are good, and areas to avoid. Once hurricane season is over (which it is already) the weather is awesome..why we are called The Sunshine State.

I lived in South Fla for a few years and definetly feel that the City of Miami is the worse part of South Fla. Other than the UMiami area, Miami Beach and right around the Airport (SW side) the City is not appealing. Most of it is depressed and very Latino. I much prefer Broward and Palm Beach counties.

nicely...that they had a sprint situation with human beings in Miami taking photos travelers a mutually as back. it somewhat is rather high priced to stay there. And it somewhat is rather warm for the period of the summer season. the city is super. Oh...and the state of Florida seems to get hit with the aid of a minimum of two or 3 hurricanes each year. i'm not in basic terms speaking undesirable approximately Miami. I now stay in Europe and that i do believe that Europe is a lots greater advantageous place to stay. greater advantageous than Miami definatly. in case you particularly need to bypass to the U. hello all I live in nyc. I hear Miami is a very dangerouse and scary city from pretty much everyone i know. the crime rate in Miami is alot worse than here in nyc.I saw it in the census reports.I hear no one speaks english and its like living in a third world ghetto city.I also hear that the night clubs are very crazy fun and are open till the sun comes up. i also hear that it never snows down there which is sad.how do they have a christmas with no snow? to me its not worth getting shot for some exciting night life.I would never risk my life and visit Miami.

Very crowded and lots of rude people. Mainly on the south shores that is. The North shore was cool, still crowded and very pricey. Loved Miami Ink!!!!!

Rudest city on the US with no customer service. Most likely place to get killed just walking down the street. Stray bullet, get run over at a bus stop (you wouldn't believe how often this happens!), hit and run, murder, rape and people can not drive for anything. I think if they put the street signs in Spanish that would help. It's a really dangerous city.

It has its nice areas and its bad areas like any other city. The beach is nice. Nice weather all year round if you like the sun. Good looking people too. One thing I did notice is that people are very rude.
