Castor oil and oragnge juice is the old wives solution, an orgasm is supposed to help as it a bumpy car ride.
All those failed with my first and I went 2 weeks overdue! lol
Good luck...;

My aunt and my mom used castor oil for a lot of their kids. My mom couldn't get past the taste of it so we went to a health food store and bought some empty capsals and my dad filled a few of them with castor oil for her. It worked everytime for them. They only did this not more than a week away from their due date. Be very careful you want your baby to be healthy and if being a little miserable for a few more days is what it takes...you will be holding her soon!! Good luck.

sex and walking are the only two I know of. If you're only 39 weeks, then she probably just isn't ready to make her appearance into this world yet.
Call and talk to your doc...if you are really that miserable, perhaps you can talk him into an induction. However, it's best if baby stays in till it's ready to come on out on it's own.

Sometimes a warm bath and a couple of glasses of wine (don't overdo it) will help you relax enough to let things happen. If your uptight you won't help things along. There again walk walk and more walk as brisk as you are able. I know that doesn't help much and I know how you feel all three of mine were 3 weeks overdue. Trust mother nature she knows what she is doing.

Congrats ,,Your stressing your self out and that’s not good . Your little one will come when she’s ready.
Most of the time the Dr’s are wrong on the due date. But walking and a lot of it is the best thing so your little one is just not ready yet and give her time.
My sister in-law just had her baby today.

Usually sex. But ask your doctor if you can take an over the counter herb called rose hips.

Use your breast pump for an hour a few times a day. Worked for everyone I know.

that's pretty much it. I've heard that eating spicy food can also help...but that might also wind up giving you indigestion. If she is your first baby....quite often, 1st babies are late....the body isn't really sure what's going on. Congrats though! :)
