Germans generally view Hitler as a disgrace and embarassment. It is illegal in Germany to espuse Nazi doctrine or dress as a Nazi. I believe it is also illegal to claim the Holocaust never happened; it is in France.

Any German who follows Hitler is no German at all.

They are in denial, they do not want to take responsibility for the past generation guilt... but the neo-Nazis use this as a platform to fight immigration.

my mothers boyfriend grew up in germany at the time. he now lives in america, we are not to speek about him nor that war in his home.
