I've always sort of wondered what it meant. To some people, it means always sticking together, to others honesty, whatever. But friends won't always be there for you, even if they'll say something around that sentence. So what is it really?

As much as i want to define friendship as sticking together, caring for,and being a shoulder to cry on in times of dire need,i'm compelled to say friends could become your worst nightmare.Don't ever expect too much from friends,be sure they will let you down!

Friends are suppose to be like the family GOD forgot to give us.
Real friends should be there for you.... even if you dont talk all the time. It should be someone that you know you can call when you need to talk......when you need to cry......when you just need a friend.

The average person has 5 REAL FRIENDS in their lifetime.
That isnt at a time......that is your whole life. You will only have
a total of 5 real friends.

Somebody you can enjoy being with even though you aren't always together. Someone you can trust and know they'll be loyal, or something like that.

A friend is someone who stays there through thick and thin, someone who won't turn their backs on you when someone else does, and the ones you can really talk to and trust them.

To me friendship means being there for you when they hate your guts at the moment but that doesn't stop them from wanting to help you out. Or trying to be there for you and you being there for them when they need a shoulder to cry on.

If you've ever heard the theme song to Friends..."i'll be there for you...and your there for me too" That song pretty much covers what a friend is. You should be able to trust them and be there for them and vis versa.

Someone you would go out of your way (to an extent) to help out or enjoy just hanging out with even when there's nothing to do.
