Whats the meaning of life? please give your explanation of why its 42?

yes I have over and over again ....there is no meaning ..you live your life to the best of your abilities and who know ..have a good one

I think that life has no meaning but when the 42 Bus was late Eve stayed at Adam's house and the human race started, this presupposes that bus drivers are not human, and that busses predate the human race but there are some Routemasters in storage which clearly predate humanity and can you honsetly say the creature behind the wheel of the 65 is actually human

I do not understand the 42 part? But, the meaning of life for me is, to be able to appreciate everything around me and gain better understanding on what it actually means to BE. I want to be able to look back and say "did I make the most out my life?", I want to be able to know that I was able to be open enough to have experiences that count, and gave me knowledge. I want to know that I was able to love, and not base my thoughts and ideas from fear. I would be especially happy to know that I helped others, or helped to make a difference in some way. I think that is the meaning. To be able to embrace all without shrinking back, or being distant and cold. I think the meaning of life, is love.

It's not 42. That's just something Douglas Adams came up with for the 'Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy'. A bit too smug to be laugh-out funny, if you ask me (although it was better on radio).
I prefer to use the lyrics from Chumbawamba's tune "What No Strings?"
