You should not use tampons in the rectum and no doctor would advise you to!
Pull the other one, it plays "Jingle Bells"...;

Using a tampon for rectal bleeding would be similar to the packing that a Dr would use when he does a rectal surgery such has hemmorrhoids so those that tell you that your Dr is negligent don't know what they are talking about.
I would assume that your Dr knows that your rectal bleeding may be from hemmorrhoids or otherwise they would be concerned about polyps or cancer.
Yes,I would suppose that the insertion of the tampons would be very uncomfortable esp if they are being used for hemmorrhoidal purposes and where there is tenderness anyway.
If hemmorrhoids have been ruled out and you still have this rectal bleeding your Dr IS negligent in not telling you to seek further professional help with the bleeding.
Course whatever is causing the bleeding isn't something that just came up today so I am sure your Dr may have only given you a temporary solution until you could get in to see him/her.
If the bleeding is so severe that you must use tampons or pads you could become anemic so this IS certainly something you need to address whether it is hemmorrhoidal or not.
In the meanwhile do not use aspirin to ease any pain you are having as aspirin is known to thin the blood and if your blood is thinner than at present,it could increase the amount of blood you are already using.
You would be wiser to use Tylenol,Advil or Aleve.
I would reccommend that you seek a way more effective way to control or stop your bleeding regardless of the cause.

You do not use a tampon rectally. This is BS. No doctor would tell you to use tampons or pad if you are bleeding rectally. You would be seen and treated once a cause of the bleeding is determined.

If you're passing blood from your rectum (your "bung hole"), not your vagina, then your doctor is out to lunch. You may have something as simple as hemorrhoids, or something much more serious. Go to another doctor. The one you've got didn't explain what's going on to you very well. On the other hand, if it's just your menstrual period, stick to pads for your first year, then you can try tampons. They don't hurt, as long as they go in easily. You won't even be able to feel it's there.

Tampons. they're discreet and take in extra - I once wore a pad on a flight and that i had my first heavy era and it ended up soaking through my denims and onto the seats! It replaced into so awful - fortuitously I had a jacket i ought to tie for the time of my waist overwise I dont comprehend what i ought to have finished. So embarrasing! i take advantage of Lil-lets tampons and continually pads x

NEVER put a tampon up your rectum. It is not meant to go there. Plus it could make your hemorrhoids worse (friction against them) and hurt more.

If you're bleeding from your rectum heavily enough to need a pad, wear a pad (slide it down a bit so it covers your rectum more).

Your doctor would admit you to the hospital for tests if you are bleeding rectally. And if this is true, I suggest you get to the ER ASAP!

if this isnt a joke, then the first thing i would do is get a lawyer and sue the "doctor" for malpractice, negligence, derilection, incompitence,etc... - if this isnt a joke, then stop wiping so hard, go both ways (up and down), and switch to that toilet paper that has aloe vera moisturizers
