Everytime I turn it off a red light on it remains on, I want to know if this is alright or if there's a way to turn it off completely

It's alright, it's shut down as much as it's shutting down without unplugging it completely.
Green light means it's on and running.
Orange (Looks more like Yellow to me, but whatever), means it's off but connected to Nintendo24 via a Wi Fi or wired connection.
Red Means it's off completely and not connected to the internet.

That's normal that mean that it is off with mine i touch once so the light is yellow so it will use wii connect 24

1. Push power button
2. Unplug it
3. Throw it against a wall
