I read a joke on questions that was very offensive (not to me but to Muslims) but instead of complaining to yahoo I left the answer - 'I think this joke may be pulled' - I was warning the person who posted it that others may find it offensive and yet MY answer got 'pulled' instead. The reason given was 'Epithets & Slurs' meaning that I had used an abusive word. What is so abusive with -

'I think this joke may be pulled' -

and how do I take this up with Yahoo?

Probably more to do with Epithets than Slurs... 'pulled' is a 'double-entendre' so it may have been misinterpreted.

I've had answers deleted for reasons I don't understand too ... it happens.

This might get deleted too, and I'll be left wondering why; as the reason given for a deletion never seems to make sense!

sturdy question. Yahoo easily has a rule that an answer is had to adress the question. party: What color is the sky? answer: i love airplaines. even although that "i love airplanes." isn't, evidently, offensive, it fails to adress the question in a mildly adequate way. If readers flag it, yahoo has a mechanism which will eliminate your answer or question (in certain situations with none licensed individual easily checking it and pulling the plug on it, I collect). Flags are a gadget and also you'll't flag in case you abuse it and flag inappropriately, menacingly. (i imagine it downgrades the cost of a flag at the same time as it comes from someone who flags inappropriately). Yahoo's mechanism has a fashion of checking your trend of flagging people too. lengthy answer, yet, "i do not." is almost a similar as in simple terms answering someone's' question with the help of typing "hi." evidently, it likely attracted various of flags. i do not comprehend both, the call of the music, yet when i had to respond to, i ought to have contributed "i'm deliberating elvis and a on-line casino for some reason." in spite of the indisputable fact that is composed of ideas is often powerful. And it isn't going i ought to were flagged, even although that i did not rather comprehend the reply both.

Welcome to Yahoo.
I think that this forum got too big for Yahoo too quick and they can not staff it. I believe that you can get a violation just on an abuse report-irregardless if it is valid or not. I think is is computer driven, with no one at the wheel.
I have gotten several violations lately for no reason that I can see. Yahoo has lost control of this site. That is evident by the constant postings by the "retard" and the naked woman earlier today. Yahoo can not control it.

Theres no rhyme or reason to yahoos method.
If someone complains , they will glance at it, if it waddles like a duck they call it a duck and your deleted.
I have had many answers and q deleted for no good erason.
I have also complained about questions searching for information of potential benefit to terrorists and the question remains.
the mind boggles
dont worry about it.its probably selling everyones q&a to big brother anyway

Maybe the whole joke answers thing was pulled, as people would wonder what people were answering - did the take your points back?

Unfortunately Yahoo never answer complaints about why a question or answer has been deleted - I had a totally innocent question deleted about three months ago, I complained but never had an answer.

Good luck, I made a comment (fair) about George Bush and the Fascist's didn't like it, so metaphorically slapped me. Very funny (not ha ha) people run answers.

They can slap you but you cant slap back (makes em feel powerful or sommut).
