You have the 2 GB iPod Nano, the 4 GB Nano, and the 8 GB Nano. The 2 GB iPod Nano only holds 500 songs, so if you have a lot of songs, don't get that one. The 4GB Nano holds 1,000 songs and costs $199.00. The 8 GB is pointless because it is $249.00 and you can get the 30 GB iPod Video for the same price. So either get the 4GB Nano, or the iPod Video. The iPod Video is only good if you are going to watch a lot of movies, TV shows, and music videos on the go. If you are just going to listen to music, get the 4 GB Nano. If you have more than 1,000 songs to put on your iPod, get the Video whether or not you will use the video feature because you might want to use the video feature at one point, and it holds 7,500 songs. The iPod Video can also play games, unlike the Nano.

well you need to figure out how much music you are going to put in it. if you are going to be putting a lot of cd's on it then you might want to get a bigger one but if you are going to put a couple of cd's and some songs you got from the internet then a 2 or 4 gb would be fine. they all operate the same the only difference is going to be the hard drive.
