According to the President he was supporting terrorism.
Which group/groups?
It certainly wasn't al-Qaeda as they were enemies of Saddam and I haven't heard any other groups named.
So how was he a threat?

He wasn't, but as I said on an earlier question that cost me 10pts.,all Americans are liars so you can say whatever you want and don't have to prove it.The only WMD i know of works at the white house.

Well, just put me in a box & FedX me to hell.

Now there's a new theory that the US is responsible for 9/11, with these perfectly CREDIBLE websites explaining all sorts of stuff about how a plane COULDN'T have done it yada yada yada

If I believed all the nonsense I'd be cross-eyed, stutter & walk with a tilt. You can pull up ad infinitum PROOF of whatever the person/s persuasion. I'm kind of naive. I tend to give more credence to the head honcho military guys who tell us what's REALLY going on "over there." The incredible increase in terrorism since the "hornet's nest" was poked was inevitable & can't be disputed by ANYBODY.

My single point AT THIS TIME--put the blame wherever--THIS ISN'T WORKING. IT CANNOT WORK. For god's sake, how many more lives are going to be lost, & por que? Let's just send a bunch more young men & women over there, & oh, never mind the HUMONGOUS number of Iraqis who have died.

Macho, macho--just put on a long face & cry crocodile tears but NEVER give up! What a horrible message that would send to the rest of the world! I don't think anyone has answered your question about "Which group/groups" but I may have missed it.

Some answers are SO long, I scroll & scroll until NOTHING makes any sense, & I've forgotten the question. Boy, I wish I could give best answer! It would be Tommy D--"He had all the weapons that Bush's father sold him. Bush found the receipt."
What a great sense of humour! Your question was perfectly valid & civil; the responses (many) were off the radar screen.

the only threat Saddam was to the USA, was a big embarassment to the Certain Intelligence Agencies for supporting his takeover of Iraq, and giving him the goods to commit the atocities that he did.

that is why they'll make sure he is swinging before he can start singing on or after January 20th, 2007!

he was picked because "some" (like Rumsfeld) thought it would be a piece of cake.

he was no threat.

Iran was and is a threat, if nuclear proliferation was the problem.

but since 9/11 the problem is not "terrorism" "axis of evil" "WMD" it is RADICAL ISLAM and nothing else!

so the main enemies were and are Saoudi Arabia, Pakistan and Iran.

and the result of this incredible iraki mess is that it helped those fuc...... islamic countries!!

Iran threatened to "wipe the Zionist entity (Israel) off the face of the map" various circumstances, and since the U. S. is heavily allied to Israel, they won't enable that to ensue. it somewhat is why they are against the Iranian nuclear software.

Maybe it was the year that we foiled the attempt by him to assassinate the first president Bush ? How did he support terrorism ? I believe it was Saddam that sent money to any family that supported suicide bombers. Or maybe it was his open support of the PLO ?

We, on the Yahoo message boards, are supposed to know the answers to these questions? I don't know if we'll ever be able to find the truth through the haze of lies that have been fed to us.

Documents seized after the war showed he had trained thousands of terrorists to come over here and commit 9/11 style attacks (translations are on the doj website). This has been all over the news for months....where were you, under a rock?

Any leader of a country that threatens the US is a threat to our security. Especially if that leader has shown that he is militant. It doesn't matter if he had wmd or not- if someone threatened to kill you and you knew that in the past he had killed, would you just stand around with your thumb up your **** or would you do something about them? Come on people- GET SOME BRAINS!!!
