I have a Sony MP3 player and I have found it to be quite good. The program for uploading music is very easy to use, the player is light weight, you can store quite a bit of music, and best of all, it is inexpensive.

Creative makes awesome MP3 Players. http://us.creative.com has many great players. Pretty much all of them are subscription music compatible.

The Samsung K5 has bulit in speakers. Found at http://www.samsung.com/sg/k5/

Both of these MP3 players received good reviews from http://www.cnet.com Video reveiws can be found at CNET.

I would recommend going to a Best Buy to look at and test out different MP3 Players.

First off, I know Apple sucks, but the iPods are the BEST that Apple offers. Plus, they're considered the best players PERIOD. Why? Biggest space capacity, most popular, different sizes/colors, easy-to-use. I mean, you'll have to use the computer no matter what you buy, so you'd might as well buy one that most are familiar with and can help you with if you don't understand how to use it.

I don't think it matters that much.
But basically if you wanna play safe, go for a well known brand.

The underdogs keep trying to undercut but rarely with success.

But in attempted answer to your question, it actually don't matter that much between the big guys(!), to be honest, however if you are buying for a disgruntled teenager then it matters a hell of a lot!

so if that is the case, ask them, they'll know!

I have an RCA Lyra, with 6 gb hard drive. I've been pretty happy with it. Holds about 1200 songs. They sell 'em at Walmart for something like $120.
