40% of American adults accept Darwinism as a valid scientific theory.

I hope this helps.

There is no such thing as "acceptance" of a scientific theory. Science is an object method....a set of techniques that are the same no matter who applies them. When these techniques are applied, all people who observe the matter get the same result. There is no debate and no opinion. Science is based on fact, observation and correct technique.

When applied to evolution, the theory fails. It is as simple as that. Observations you would absolutely expect to be there, are absent. This holds across all fields of science and all attempts to scientifically observe the phenomenon. This is STRONG scientific proof that the theory is wrong.

The argument against Darwinism (actually evolution as Darwin stole the idea from others) is not religious, nor is it sophistry, rational or even common sense. It's scientific. Evolution is a SCIENTIFIC theory and held to that standard. Specifically, it is scientifically proven to be false.

If you can prove otherwise....than do so. Such a discovery would ensure your immortality in the annuls of science.

As a theory it no longer really fits in it's original form. The concept of a missing link no longer applys as there have been many huminoid fossils found. The belief is now that Neanderthal is not part of the direct line, but a side line. The Christians have major problems with this. If one sees evolution as a series of abrupt changes, brought on by climatic changes or mutations, after long periods with no or little change evolution is easier to explain. Darwin was on the right track, but had little evidence to back his claims.

Those who do insist that it's not a theory.
