No it is not wrong to be a christian. I do no know about the other except that many hardlined christians support the war in IRAQ because they are conservatives and go along with John Howardand George Bush. Your political views determine where you stand on certain issues. Yet there are some who go the opposite way.

well, I'm not christian and i don't hate you. in this world you can be who you want to be and do what you want to do, and if that mean supporting the war, the death penalty, and murdering, than go ahead, cause that's what you want to do! ^_^

Only if you, as a christian believe in the eternal concious punishment of the lost. There are a host of scriptures that indicate that hell for the lost is temporary. One day all people will be saved.
