Some of the best are:
Mariah Carey: Vision of Love & Emotions + all her other hits
Toni Braxton: Unbreak My Heart
Celine Dion: My Heart Will Go On & Power of Love
Janet Jackson: That's the Way Love Goes & Together Again
Coolio: Gangsta's Paradise
Monica & Brandy: The Boy is Mine
Nirvana: Smells Like Teen Spirit
Aerosmith: I Don't Wanna Miss a Thing
TLC: Waterfalls
Bryan Adams: Everything I do (I do it for you)
Whitney Houston: I'm Your Baby Tonight & I have Nothing
I'm sure there are a lot of other songs...but those are some of the highlights of the 1990s.

It's funny but during the 90's I thought most of the music was a bit cr*p!
It wasn't until we hitched into iTunes that I caught a glimpse of some of the great songs that never seemed to even exist at that time. Weird!
Has to be from Oasis, Blur or Nirvana for me.
Have a look at www.inthe90's.com/music.shtml
for quite a few other peoples opinions.
good listening!

That is a tough question. I've had a good look through my mp3 library for those years and I'd have to say that the best track I have is Under the Bridge by The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Close runner-ups included Everlong by Foo Fighters and Smells Like Teen Spirit by Nirvana.

I may be in the minority on this, but I think "Fake Plastic Trees" by Radiohead is one of the greatest rock songs of all time.
Also, every song off Dr. Dre's The Chronic. Love them all.
