People of all classes take drugs. Desperation is one cause of drug taking. But drugs like coke are also perceived as status symbols. Queen Victoria smoked weed, and cocaine use is widespread amongst professionals. I know actors, It professionals, city councillors & teachers who all take drugs.

Yes and still do when on hols.
I can understand why people are afraid of drugs but personally I prefer a night out with some illegal substances than a night out filled with alcohol.
Okay I do know that one can have a good night out without any sort of substances but I really enjoy my drugs nights as well.
I cannot see why people are so against recreational drug taking as we live in a society where most people have alcohol problems no matter their situation in life.
I hate to see people totally blocked or out of their heads on drugs of any sort but if you are reasonable why not!!!
I know the risks of drugs but I also see what alcohol can do so I have never understood why people make such a big deal of drug taking if done in a controlled adult environment!

I can't say that I have tried any drugs. Quite proud of it too. Suppose I'm working class...

Im working class and have no idea how many people have tried drus,think it must be more than 10.

I tried them. I started off as a middle class person, ended up homeless. My suggestion- if you are doing them, stop... If you haven't done them- don't.
