Ah... this is the sweet sweet smell of the Yankees downfall.... im glad this is only the beginning too.
Babe Ruth= $50,000,000
Joe Torre= $15,some,000,000
Full Club Of All-Stars= $100,some,000,000
No Rings in the 21st Century= Priceless
Can I get a WOOT WOOT?
And the 21st Century started in 2001, not 2000 LOL... This is how dumb Yankee Fans are... true?

the new century is 6 years old, The Yankees have a title in 2000 and two trips to the Series since 2000, which last time i did arithmatic is one more than the tigers have in this Century .....but, Why does it matter? The Tigers havent won since the 80s LMAO.. Again, why does it matter. Georgie, it has always amazed me the Lack of perspective you have about your own team and the blind weird assed hatred you have for a team thats a LONG way from your teams city...get a life dude! Seriously!

And how long ago was it that Detroit won a World Series? Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't it 1984 and Reagan president. He was up against Walter Mondale for re-election...hehehehe. The Yankees won in 2000. 22 years vs 6 years. Hmmmmm...you don't have much room to talk do ya?

the year 2000 constitutes the begining of the 21st century. we beat the mets in 2000 so u r utterly and completely wrong. and judging by ur detroit icon ur team hasn't won a world championship in the 21st century

No, most Yankee fans have their heads up their @$$es and don't realize that their team is a group of highly paid @$$holes who can't win any more!
The 21st Century began 1/1/2001 not in 2000 there is no year zero.

Yes Mr. Porgie I agree, and I hope Mr Steinbrenner does not win again for 10 years, and keeps writing insane checks to players who are overpriced. I guess Messrs. Cashman and Steinbrenner do not remember the late 90s when they only had one or two superstars and some very good gritty IE Paul O'Neill, Scott Brosius, Tino Martinez, Chuck Knoblauch, not a whole lineup of overpaid superstars.

Ain't it just great!
Small market teams that win by developing young talent beating out the big market teams trying to buy a championship.
