Going to Vancouver/Canada. now IELTS or TOEFL ?

Question

I tend tp speak more american english than british though both of the universities there accept both IELTS and TOEFL.
But from your opinion which one is really better for me that going to be in vancouver at least for 2 years ?

English is English

British as you know has some different meanings ie: boot/trunk of car etc.

I hope you know that there is very little difference between
Canadian and American English....except for slight accents....
