I need to replace it . Every other time I use the wagon, I go about 8 miles and then it'll start missing and sputtering. Worse when going uphill at slowere speeds.

Youll find it under the car at the drivers side. Make sure the filter orientation is correct as it flows one way. Put a can of fuel system cleaner in the tank afterwards. You should change the filt. at least once a year. If it doesnt` help come back here with more details on the problem.

It's under the car toward the back by the gas tank. If you follow the fuel lines coming from the tank, you'll find it.
Sounds like your problem might be more than just a fuel filter. It sounds like you have a problem with the secondary ignition system (secondary ignition includes plugs, plug wires,coil,opti-spark distributor). That's just an educated guess based on your description of the problem.

It usually is along the frame on the drivers side of the car. Inside of the frame. Also, look into getting a tuneup...Seems the trouble your describing could be different. Just a guess on that though.
