If your car is fuel inj. then I suggest you turn on the key, listen for the fuel pump to stop, then try to start it. If your system is old and does`nt hold preassure then you may have to cycle the pump 2or3 times before cranking. Then see about a fix.

It could be a fuel pump. It might be helpful to give a little more info on the kind of car, the year model, etc.

Could be a faulty fuel pump that is going bad, or you need to replace that fuel filter, or even need to do a tuneup.

With the information you offer, all we can offer is a shot in the dark. It is all guess work at this point.
YEAR?
MAKE?
MODEL?
ENGINE?
Does it do it all the time, or only cold, or after it has run?
More Information PLEASE

Good Luck
