You probably can't do much about work. Studying? I'd don't know what all is involved in your studying, but if their are areas of study where the computer work is more a convenience than a necessity, then you could try doing that part of your studying at a library with books and paper instead of at your computer desk with the internet. (I just re-read that last sentence, and boy does that sound condescending. Truth is, it is way too easy to become dependent on our computers to do things that can be done just as well without them...computers just make those tasks so darn easy.) Now for the etc. part...that's where you can really unchain yourself from the computer (not easy...computers are just so darn fun). Surely there are a bunch of non-computer activities you would enjoy. (Since you mention being irritated, you could try either bowling or golf...and get a full dose of non-digital irritation...and don't use that "Don't call me Shirley" line either.) Failing that, at times when you really have to be on the computer, just taking a short break from time to time might help. I'm not talking about just standing up and stretching. Try going outside (weather permitting) and jumping on the bike for a 10 or 15 minute ride. Or, if you live near a neighborhood store (they still exist), convenience store or shopping center, you could take a short walk down there to pick up a little something (newspaper, Diet Dew, Sports Weekly, play the lottery...whatever...the main thing is the walk down and back). You get the idea...any kind of break like that is helpful.
I'm sure there are tons of othes who feel the way you do. I guess the problem with most of us is that the amount of time we spend on our computers sort of sneaks up on us. It gets more and more so gradually that we before we know it, we are practically chained to our keyboard.
So, go for it. Hit that power button, get up and find something non-digital that you enjoy...at least for short periods, and you'll find your computer time will be much more productive.
Good advice coming from someone who is sitting at his own computer answering these questions, isn't it?

Take time out during the day and walk around the building or house you are in. It will get your fresh air and exercise.
